Budapest: Paradise for explorers
Budapest is one of those cities Europe that constantly ranks in various Top 10 lists. With stunning architecture, refreshing thermal baths, and a culture that can be unique, Budapest lives up to its reputation. It is among the most beautiful cities in the world to live. With a history dating back to the 12th century, this gem of a city has a lot to offer to any visitor.
Dance to the music – The Sziget Music Festival and Balaton Sound Festival, known throughout the continent as one of the largest music events in Europe, tourists and locals alike flock to town to take part in the scene.
Peace at Lake Balaton – Lake Balaton is the biggest lake in Central Europe, and the surrounding villages are quaint and love tourists. Tihany, home of the famous Benedictine Abbey, is one of the most popular.
Cruise along the Danube bend – Towns dot the banks of the Danube, the river running through the entire country. Go from one to the next using public transportation, or consider taking a boat cruise down the river. You can even head to Germany if you have more time to explore. But if you want to explore countryside of Hungary, a day trip to Danube Bend is totally worth it.
Soak in the baths – Whether you’re relaxing in the famous Szechenyi Baths in Budapest or checking out worlds largest active biological thermal bath in a small town, Heviz, you can’t leave Hungary without trying this best local past time.
Ruin pubs – The hipster counter culture is alive and well in Hungary, especially in Budapest where ruin pubs have overrun the town. These eclectic bars are popping up in old abandoned buildings, and each have their own flavour. Make a list and try to hit them all.
Sample local flavours – Paprika is one of the country’s largest products and makes a great souvenir. If you’re hoping for a more naughty snack, try a langos. This fried dough is topped with sweet or savoury condiments and will keep you full for days.

Where to Stay:
One of your biggest travel expenses and time-consuming tasks is booking accommodation, and we all want to save time and hopefully some money when searching for deals online.
Whilst there are plenty of websites these days to help you search for accommodation, some are more trustworthy than others, and some are easier to navigate than others.
I’m sure you are already familiar with Booking.com, they are my all time favourite with lot of different types of accommodation you can book on their website: Hotels, Apartments, Resorts, Villas, B&B and Guesthouses.
In my opinion, not only are they are the best hotel booking site, but the best accommodation website.
And if the above options aren’t enough for your style or budget, you can even book Lodges, chalets, luxury tents, campsites and more.
It is an online marketplace and hospitality service, enabling people to list or rent short-term lodging including vacation rentals, apartment rentals, homestays, hostel beds, or hotel rooms.
