13 of our Bucketlist Experiences found through Instagram!

Instagram is probably the place where I have found most of my bucket list travel experiences. I regularly sit and scroll through my feed marveling at the awesome photos and amazing places. It really makes me want to get up and book my flight right away.

I have been so inspired recently by some instagram accounts I thought I should just share some of these cool experiences with all of you! We did cross off some of the experience from the list here 🙂

1. Explore Pamukkale – One of the most mysterious & irresistible of Turkey

Pamukkale is a unique, wonderful, and mind-boggling gift that the Creator has lovingly dedicated to Turkey. Pamukkale shows a gorgeously magical beauty which seems to be so surreal that you may think it’s unreal. But it does exist, for thousands of years. This scenic site promises to take you to a new paradise of water that has long been one of the most wonderful and must-go destinations in Turkey!

We learned three things with this shot: 1️⃣ Even with a million tourists* at a location, with enough patience and clever camera angles, one can still appear alone and majestic in a beautiful part of the world 2️⃣ You won’t always match your surroundings (unfortunately), so Photoshop can be your friend (FYI this skirt was originally greeny-yellow, but we thought blue was 🔝 – don’t you agree that’s better?) 3️⃣ It is very difficult to spin when one is standing still on a small patch of travertine terrace *exaggerated for comic effect…although it certainly felt like a million that day 😄 —————————————————- Our Corfu photoshoot continues >> check out some BTS on Stories 🇬🇷🌄🏖 —————————————————- #howfarfromhome #hffhinturkey #destinationdiscoveries #pamukkale #turkey

2. Watch the Northern Lights from your bed in Finnish Lapland and get on a Dog Sledd!

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, which brings with it swirls of color over the skies of Finland and Iceland. What would be more incredible than lying in your bed with a magical snow covered wonderland outside watching the Northern Lights? Instagram is abuzz with pictures of the Northern Lights, and if you want to take it up a notch – book yourself a stay in an igloo! Even when you don’t get to see the lights you can still have a romantic evening gazing at the stars.

💙💙 Sometimes you just need to go offbeat to discover a memorable stay that lingers in the memory. A lot of you asked for more on our unusual abode in on the Arctic Circle – a transparent glass igloo!! We spent one of our most memorable holidays in the Finnish wilderness in Lapland 3 years ago. Having slept on a bed of ice in an actual igloo in Switzerland, we wanted something a bit more comfortable in Lapland ☺️😍 That's how we discovered this igloo resort – the temperature was around -30 °C outside but the igloos are heated. The best part is that they are transparent so you don't have to leave the igloo when the Northern Lights come up at night. You can just lay on your bed and watch the Aurora Borealis dance right OVER your eyes. We spent entire days staring at the beams of sunlight filtering through slanting Arctic trees, going on reindeer safaris, and playing in fields covered with glistening snow by day and staring at the Northern Lights by night. Lots more information and a WHOLE video is on our website (link's in bio) 😊😍 #CitiIndia#whatsnewthisvacation #citiambassadors #bruisedpassports #travel #love

3. Take Hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia!

Watching the surreal landscape of Cappadocia at sunrise from a hot air balloon must be such a special feeling. If you’re an Instagram enthusiast you would have come across the pictures of the hot air balloon extravaganza that takes place in Cappadocia, Turkey. Whether you feast your eyes on the sight from a rooftop or take a trip on one of the hot air balloons, I can imagine this to be an extraordinary experience.

4. Swim with sharks at The Bahamas!

Going to Bahamas has been a dream of mine for so long. The beautiful crystal clear lagoon and the spectacular views has my heart exploding every time I see a photo. In places like Exuma you often see sharks swimming by while snorkeling and it seems pretty incredible!

5. Take a Walk at White Sand Desert in New Mexico!

White Sands National Monument is in the northern Chihuahuan Desert in the U.S. state of New Mexico. It’s known for its dramatic landscape of rare white gypsum sand dunes. Trails through the dunes dotted with interpretive exhibits on wildlife and other features.

6. Hot springs hanging over the jungle – Grutas Tolantongo!

A paradise in the jungle, that’s the best way I can describe this place. We had never heard of Grutas Tolantongo before we saw it here. Hot springs hanging over the jungle, caves and the turquoise blue rivers all surrounded by the mountains – is this even a real place?

7. Explore the Amazon Jungle completely disconnected from world!

The Amazon Rainforest is the ecosystem of largest diversity in our planet. Large parts of this mysterious rainforest are still unknown, and most of the jungle is only accessible by navigating on the mighty Amazon River. Hence, it is not surprising that taking a trip to the Amazon Rainforest is many travelers’ dream. We would love to spend a couple of weeks in this world and see the animals, the plants, and the flooded villages!

9. Explore the hidden lagoon in Philippines!

Take a ten to fifteen minute boat ride from Kayangan lake to the hidden lagoon and experience the breathtaking nature of the Philippines!

10. Eat breakfast with Giraffes in Kenya at Giraffe Manor

At the Giraffe Manor in Kenya, visitors are surprised and delighted by the very special guests that join them for breakfast. The guests are none other than the giraffes, which call the manor home, a small hotel in a suburb in Nairobi. Bloggers flock to by the manor house, to get a snap of these gorgeous creatures, who photobomb breakfast selfies as they peer through their bedroom windows and meander around the house as if they were one of the guests. It’s an incredibly heartwarming experience – if their Instagram captions are anything to go by!

11. Explore the huge endless tulip fields in the Netherlands!

Travel to Holland in mid April to see the tulips at their best. Tulip season runs from the end of March until mid May, but the flowers are usually at their best halfway through April. More than 7 million flower bulbs bloom in spring at the Keukenhof in Lisse. It is one of the best places to discover many different kinds of tulips. However, in this time of the year you really only have to board a train or pick up a bicycle to watch the tulips in all their glory in rural fields.

Most tulip farms in Holland are located in the Noordoostpolder in the province of Flevoland. The flower bulb fields along the coast of The Hague and Leiden up to Alkmaar in the north are also a great way to enjoy these beautiful flowers.

Spent a whole day curving around the tiny streets of Sintra, stopping at Cabo Da Roca (Europe mainland’s most Western point), and cruising in the sunny afternoon heat along Portugal’s breathtaking coastline. What an experience!

Our Experience: Lisbon and Sintra Sightseeing Tour in a Convertible Beetle

Sintra // Portugal We’ve ridden the famous tram, hopped on a few buses and trains, walked the hilly streets, and caught a couple taxis when we couldn’t walk no more…but by far the most FUN way we’ve explored Lisbon and the surrounding towns and sights, has been in the @viatortravel convertible VW beetle (a bright yellow one too, just like Chanel’s old car 😃🙌). We spent a whole day curving around the tiny streets of Sintra, stopping at Cabo Da Roca (Europe mainland’s most Western point), and cruising in the sunny afternoon heat along Portugal’s breathtaking coastline 😍🙌 What an experience! 13. Explore the Slovenian wilderness in Gozdne Vile Glamping Huts!

For a truly unique accommodation experience, try a spot of glamping i.e. glamorous camping in Slovenia. Gozdne Vile Glamping Huts looks one of the most fun and most affordable glamping experiences I have seen in recent years. With everything in this cute little hut, most huts even have a private hot tub where you can relax after a long day of exploration. And the best part is that the huts are a 5 minute walk away from Lake Bled.

I hope this list will help you plan your next trip!!! Let me know in comments section where will you go first!! 🙂
